Ashfield in Breakish is a recently renovated guest house set within a private garden and terrace, offering free Wi‑Fi and on‑site parking. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable, making for a wonderful stay. We were new to the Isle of Skye and arrived at night, so we had a bit of trouble locating the hotel (our fault), but otherwise everything was great!

The location was good. The room was noisy, the carpet was low‑quality, and the bed was bad.

The hosts were super friendly, the place worked well as a base, and reading the notes tucked in the map (hidden in the wardrobe) helps you understand the setup better; the social aspect of this project is beautiful. However, the room was noisy, everything was very basic for the price (even though it’s cheaper in Skye, the prices there are absurd), and despite the effort it’s not what you’d expect from a holiday guesthouse.
