Had a lovely stay with a couple of friends – Heligoland was really enjoyable, and the Hanseat hotel was a superb choice for our visit. Comfortable, friendly staff, nice breakfast, very handy for the island's facilities. Couldn't have been better. Loved the rooms, loved the view. Perfect.

The hotel is very well located with a bar and tasty breakfast. The bed is a bit narrow but sufficient.

I stayed in a single room with a side balcony; after a brief scare when I entered, I realized the bathroom was hidden behind a glass door with a slight cabinet look. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and I had to work hard to find even a little dust. Breakfast was very good and the staff (a young trainee?) were friendly, always asking if we wanted drinks, which felt very personal. I definitely recommend this place!
