We absolutely loved our stay at Ladera. The lodge was perfectly tidy and clean when we arrived, with tea, coffee, milk and sugar already stocked! The staff were lovely and informative when we needed them, but hands‑off enough that we didn’t feel stifled. The park itself is gorgeous, lovely to walk around, and in a quiet location. Loved stargazing in the hot tub at night! There is a £250 security deposit, but while other reviews mentioned a delay in getting their deposit back, we got ours back straight away on the same day we left, so no problems there for us. Thank you for a great stay. I can’t think of much to criticise, honestly; just warn people that the roads to get to the park are very narrow country roads, so if you’re not a confident rural driver that’s something to bear in mind. I’m not sure about public transport, but the park is close enough to a few towns that amenities aren’t an issue (it’s only 10 minutes in the car to the nearest supermarket).

The spot was perfect and the place itself was comfy, with a fully equipped kitchen and a nice hot tub. The only hiccup was a sofa bed that seemed misshapen and a bit uncomfortable in the middle, but it didn’t bother us much since we hardly stayed in the room.

The front‑desk lady was helpful once I finally got in touch with her. However, a £250 deposit had to be paid via bank transfer before I could get the key, even though the holiday was already paid in full; this wasn’t mentioned anywhere except in a confirmation email. The location was a bit hard to locate, and their check‑in process was frustrating—almost two hours were spent trying to find someone to check me in, despite them knowing my arrival time. The advertised fitness room/gym was nowhere to be seen.
