The hotel is gorgeous, the breakfasts are excellent, and the staff are friendly. As parents of three children, we had never gone somewhere alone after seven years, so we wanted to relax. Throughout the day the hotel was great. The room is small but clean; is that enough for two people? The saunas are beautiful—dry, steam, bio, and salt—all clean and new. Room 214 is on the second floor directly above the hall. Both nights the hotel was hosting a wedding, and the vibrations from the music spread over the hall with each beat, up to about 4:30; you can’t sleep even with earplugs. After 4:30 the silence is fantastic and the sleep is great. The room couldn’t be swapped, but the staff tried to compensate with an apology, wine, dinner, and earplugs. If a wedding is planned and you’re given room 214, refuse it. Those nights were a shame; otherwise the hotel is fantastic. If we had been placed in the other part of the hotel, I believe the wedding noise would not have been a problem.
