“beaux paysages canadiens, dans une bonne ambiance de fin d'été !!”
The location matched our needs and the shared dining room was suitable for breakfasts and some dinners. The windows lacked blackout blinds, so the early morning light woke us up.
“Deposit Hassle and No Refund”
We couldn't get in, and after we finally paid they asked for another deposit. They said they'd refund it, but kept the money and booking couldn't help. The only way out was to dispute the charge with my credit card.
“Easy, Quiet, Great for Festival”
Had a great time! Easy to find, parking was close and simple, and we even got to check in a few hours early. The staff were helpful and responsive, the room was quiet, and the other guests were friendly. Perfect for the OSHEAGA festival – just a 10‑minute walk to Pie9 metro.
The room size was misleading (advertised as 42 m² but actually about 20 m²). The room smelled of cigarette smoke. While some comments are positive, there's a poster in the room that pays you if you give five stars on Booking or Google, so it's not a good place to stay. No useful solutions were offered; they suggested a 50 % refund, which feels like a lie and just costs me money. If they can rent it out again, they will do so.
“Convenient but Unsafe”
The spot was great for getting around Montreal, but the place turned out to be a rundown storefront with broken locks and no real security. It felt like a bait‑and‑switch and we had to leave right away for a safer place.
