The view was nice and the staff were friendly, but there were no real bath towels, no soap in my room, and the staff were too few to handle our group—waiting two hours for breakfast!

The staff. The staff were extremely helpful very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Especially the blonde haired girl in the bar / restaurant. She was lovely and very efficient. The food was excellent & very good value. The location is beautiful. The bar and restaurant are both very comfortable with a good decor. Plenty of parking. Easy access to rooms. The windows in my room were frosted and only opened at the top so I had no view whatsoever. I can understand for safety reasons why they only opened from the top but the glass should be changed to clear so the view could be enjoyed. It felt quite claustrophobic. It was a superior double room ie: room 109 and I'd expected better. The toilet seat was loose & there are brown rust like stains in the toilet ( very off-putting ) We had problems with the water temperature but that was addressed very quickly. The towels were not bath towel size.they barely ( excuse the pun ) wrapped around the body. I asked the chamber maid when she was cleaning my room if she had a larger towel but she said they were the largest. I think an investment in a bath sheets would be welcomed by guests. The carpet was stained in a few places . The tea facilities were very basic. In general I would say my room was a little "tired". I appreciate it is a 3* hotel so I don't expect luxury but just a little more attention to detail would really improve it. However the staff definitely made up for any disappointment with the room. The food was excellent too although service at breakfast was a little slow but I think that was due to staff shortages. The girl who had served us the previous afternoon & evening was also working on her own at breakfast the next day. We all agreed she was excellent. Unfortunately I forgot to ask her name. She has long blonde wavy hair. In general I had a lovely stay & would stay again although I would opt for a different room

Beautiful location. Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. We were a large party and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms need a little updating. Mis matched glasses and cups in rooms and tea spoons tarnished Towels too small No soap in bathroom and just three tiny hair and body sachets
