The breakfast was tasty, the selection was sufficient, everything was fresh. I appreciated being able to leave my luggage at reception after checkout until departure. The entrance to the building was under renovation. I didn’t receive any notice. There was no name of the accommodation anywhere on the sign or on the doorbells. Everything was explained over the phone. But when I was still at the plywood door of the rundown building, I was scared. The renovation only covered the front facing the street. The rest of the building was fine, including the accommodation itself.

“Güler yüzlü ev sahibi”

The location was very central. Breakfast was adequate by foreign standards. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel is old but clean. Hot water, room was fine.

I was left in the dark when the flight delay caused me to miss the prepaid airport transfer; we had to take a taxi that dropped us right in front of the gate, and the crazy part was that the location sent us the wrong codes to open the gate. We ended up in a Budapest street we didn’t know at midnight, had to pay €180 for a night at a nearby hotel, and every time we tried to call the accommodation it never answered. I feel utterly frustrated and out of pocket.

The place is conveniently located in the city center with easy access to public transport, but we wished they had croissants.
