I liked the atmosphere, the friendliness, and the accessibility, but I think the breakfast could offer more variety, like scrambled eggs.

“Agradável”

Cleanliness and breakfast were fine, but the rooms were outside the reception/restaurant entrance; stepping out for breakfast or dinner meant bracing the cold outside and then re-entering through another door, which is tricky, especially after a hot shower and before heading out for a meal. The sudden gust of air was a real nuisance.

“Pretty basic and disappointing”

The staff were friendly and helpful, but I suspect nothing has been updated since the 1970s. The room felt very dated and a bit shabby, and compared to other places in the area and elsewhere in Portugal it seemed like poor value for money. I’m really puzzled by the score. Being there during the fiesta weekend didn’t help, yet I can’t blame the hotel. Sleep wasn’t possible until the early hours, so the second night we joined in, which was moderately fun, but overall it didn’t amount to a very restful weekend.

“Relaxamento em”

We loved everything! The family atmosphere, homemade food, everything was very clean, tidy, and fragrant; the staff were friendly and helpful! We definitely want to return! Thank you! We liked everything! But for those without a car, it’s a steep climb to reach the hotel. The pool is 500 m away, but you always have to go uphill; although they have a shuttle for guests at scheduled times, there’s no “free access” because of the distance. Guests with cars don’t have any of these problems, and otherwise everything is perfect!
