The bed is very old and sagging, the pool is unfiltered, the room curtains are torn, the service is very old, the sheets are stained with chlorine, and the place really needs a lot of maintenance.

It’s a wonderful place with a very privileged location. You have access to a bay that’s mostly empty, and you can walk to San Agustínillo and Mazunte. The pool is amazing and the entire staff’s service is spectacular. The only thing I think could improve is the cleanliness of the rooms.

There’s plenty to love about Pan de Miel: breathtaking ocean views, private access stairs to Playa Elefante, a clean environment, and a balcony with a hammock that I adored. The food was very good, and the staff are incredibly kind, respectful, and friendly—beautiful human beings! The owner, Ann, is also very sweet, kind, and interesting. Both the property and the people have incredible charm, and I’m grateful for the experience. I didn’t find anything I disliked, but those with mobility issues should know that the resort sits on a hill, so there are natural inclines.
