The place was beautifully appointed, clean, and a bit quirky; the garden was gorgeous, and we lingered in the sunshine for a couple of hours after breakfast. Great property, absolutely nothing to complain about.

Very clean, homely, and the host was great; nothing to note.

The food was good, the bar was novel, and the staff were friendly but very professional.

The dining room was lovely and the bar area pleasant; the bedroom had a nice window and two chairs. Downstairs rooms are pet‑friendly, but the carpet is tatty.

Staff anticipated our needs and supplied everything without us asking; the hotel ran efficiently. Breakfast was excellent, the bed comfortable, and the room quiet even though it faced the road. The location was perfect for walking to the theatre and all the venues for the excellent Sidmouth Science festival; nothing to add.
