Rhododendronhof, a family‑run farm‑stay in Behringen, sits 2 km from the A7 motorway and on the edge of a protected Lüneburg Heath conservation area. Traditional rooms feature seating, desk, cable TV and private showers. Guests enjoy a garden terrace with barbecue, free parking, nearby restaurant (300 m), shop (600 m) and easy access to hiking, cycling, Bispingen (4 km) and Hamburg Airport (58 km).

The price is very good, the place is tidy and clean, and the hosts are friendly. The wallpaper should be re‑taped or the room renovated, as it had already fallen off the previous year. The kitchen vent was unfortunately eerily dirty.

Everything was fine except the shower, which was really tiny and a real obstacle for larger people; a shower curtain instead of walls would have been a huge plus. The communal kitchen is a great idea, but the chairs were only for slim people, and many forget such details—there should have been backless chairs, which I couldn’t use. :-(

Es roch extrem nach Schweiß. Die Betten waren durchgelegen. Müsste alles renoviert werden
