I was blown away by how clean and polished everything felt, even though the hotel is a bit older; the service was flawless and the SkyBar on the roof was a real highlight.

The panoramic view from the Palazzo was stunning, and the rooftop bar was stylish and elegant, though the prices felt steep for Thailand; the spacious room came with a kitchenette, and when they couldn’t give us the requested room they offered a rooftop drink, which was very kind; however, the rooms look dated and need a refresh.

I was pleasantly surprised when I was upgraded from the twin room I booked to a huge two‑bedroom suite with a dining area, kitchenette, and large lounge, probably because my friend hates my snoring so they made sure we had plenty of space; the staff were friendly and helpful, and the lounge access let me enjoy free food and drinks all day from the buffet, including breakfast; the room was spotless and the bed super comfortable with all the usual toiletries, and it’s conveniently close to a couple of Skytrain stations and a boat taxi stop; the only downside is there are no USB ports on the sockets, the hotel feels a bit old and could use some modernization, and the SkyBar’s £30 minimum cocktails are pricey, with a “Hangover 3” cocktail that’s been around for over 13 years still costing about £200.

We booked a single night at the Tower Club, but there was no water in the room until 16:00, after which the taps produced brown water with brown debris (see photo, unfortunately no video can be uploaded); we couldn’t shower at all during our stay; they explained it was due to a plumbing maintenance we weren’t aware of, a situation that made the stay unbearable and risky for our health, so avoid it.

The view is absolutely breathtaking, the rooms are extremely spacious and that’s a big plus, the bathroom is lovely, and the breakfast is extraordinary; the rooftop, however, is something to avoid.
