Arriving at this place was a bit of a shock - the smell of sewage hit us right away. The receptionist wasn't unfriendly, but he didn't exactly go out of his way to welcome us either. Our rooms had a similar problem with a strong smell, and the bathroom was pretty grim. The basin was out of order, and there was black mold everywhere. We had to wait ages for someone to come and sort out the electricity when it went out on Saturday evening.

The staff here were really friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. The place felt safe and secure, which is always a plus. However, it's definitely in need of a modern makeover - it's a bit dated, but it's okay for a quick overnight stay.

The location of this place is fantastic - right in the heart of things. Unfortunately, that's about where the positives end.

This place is situated in a lovely quiet area, which was a big plus. The beds were comfortable, but could do with some new linens. The toilet door needs replacing, and the wall doesn't reach the ceiling, which makes it a bit awkward when someone's using it. We also had to clean the kettle ourselves because it was so dirty. New bedding would really make a difference here.

This place was surprisingly clean and quiet, which was a nice surprise. To be honest, there's not much else to say - it was a pretty straightforward, hassle-free stay.
