“Never again at this hotel.”
The location was convenient for Six Flags, but the staff were awful. When I checked in late Friday night, a young black male staff member shouted across the lobby demanding proof that my dog was a service animal, which is illegal; the federal government only asks if the dog is certified, a simple yes or no. On Saturday after 11 pm, a young black female woke us up by knocking on our door. When I opened, I saw the older black gentleman, wheelchair‑bound, who had checked me in the night before, standing there. He was extremely rude and unprofessional, accusing me of having my dog poop in the hallway and refusing to clean it up. He said there were only two dogs in the building and the other had already left. He threatened to call the cops and evict me if I didn’t clean the mess. My 12‑year‑old son watched and listened. The fecal matter was small, dry, and had dirt around it—nothing else in the hallway. It looked like someone had found it outside, scooped it up, and planted it to blame me. After I cleaned it, I met the two staff members at the front desk and explained that we had been at Six Flags all day, using the side stairs and door to enter and exit, so it wasn’t my dog’s business. The female staff member looked shocked, as if seeing a ghost, and she knew she was lying. There’s a camera facing that area, so if my dog had pooped there, there would be video evidence, but there isn’t. I will never stay here again, and I won’t recommend it to any friends, family, or the disabled veteran community in my metro area.
