“Eine Oase mitten im "wahren" Marokko.”

A true oasis in the heart of “real” Morocco. Taroudant feels like Morocco as it did decades ago, and anyone wanting to stay in a lovely spot should visit Souad’s Riad Jardin des Orangers. The love and care poured into the design are evident everywhere. For us it was the best place on our three‑week trip, and we were sad to leave after just one night. The spacious house with a central pool sits in a beautiful garden with plenty of seating to enjoy the views. Breakfast was fantastic, and although we couldn’t dine at dinner due to time, I’m sure it would have been worth it. Thanks for your hospitality, Souad.

“Génial, humain, bonheur.”

The staff and owner welcomed us with fantastic hospitality, and everything from the food to the riad, pool, garden, room, and hosts was a hit. Thank you, thank you! The only issue was that we needed a car or taxis because the riad is in a quiet countryside setting.

“A beautiful riad in a tranquil location”

This riad sits in an extremely quiet spot on the edge of a small village, about 10 kilometres from Touradant, and is a relatively new property beautifully decorated in a traditional style. The pool sits in the centre of a terrace that has loungers and seating, and there’s also a roof terrace with loungers and a covered area with comfortable seating. Plenty of comfy seating surrounds the pool, with covered niches to escape the sun. Each day Moroccan tea is served by the pool with homemade biscuits—a lovely touch. Zainab runs the riad with great skill, being organised, professional, and helpful. The food is truly amazing, all home‑cooked traditional Moroccan dishes that Zainab explains in detail to guests. Our room was the bungalow away from the main house, a good size with a well‑equipped kitchenette and a large fridge. We would fully recommend this riad to anyone seeking tranquility and fabulous traditional food. There was nothing to dislike about this riad.

“Si quieres reservar aquí no lo pienses dos veces”

Everything was beautiful, clean, and cosy; the staff (Zineb, Meriam, Touria) were so kind that I want to return as soon as possible. The food was so good we won’t forget it, and the facilities are clean and peaceful 😌. In reality, everything was very, very beautiful 😍 we loved it.

“Truly wonderful - do not hesitate to stay here - and definitely choose to eat at the Riad.”

This is the most magical place to stay, just a 10‑minute drive from Taroudant. The Riad is beautiful, exceptionally comfortable, and has a fabulous pool and garden (with roaming tortoises, pet cats, a dog, chickens and a peacock!). It feels like your own private house. The four‑person house staff are what make it even more perfect; they are so welcoming and happy—nothing is too much trouble. We ate breakfast and dinner at the riad every day, all made from scratch and truly delicious. I imagine it will be, by far, the best food we’ve had in Morocco—certainly the most authentic. A small slice of heaven! There was absolutely nothing that we didn’t like.
