Bank House B and B

“Quiet and comfortable with lovely hosts and an excellent breakfast”

The B&B sits in a quiet spot and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable with a great bed and linen, though some of the decor felt a little tired. I’d definitely come back.

The breakfast was really good, offering more than a standard full English; I had a fruit and yogurt granola compot, smoked haddock, and poached eggs, paired with lovely homemade bread and local preserves while enjoying a nice view of the garden. The property had character but felt a bit tired, and my room, though comfortable, didn’t feel especially inviting. Still, the hosts were very helpful in recommending local places to eat and drink.

“Lakes weekend”

Getting to the lake was easy, but the hoist was very noisy and kept asking all sorts of questions.

“Old house makes for a traditional B&B experience”

Gorgeous breakfast. Lovely friendly owners. Tap tap tap of the central heating coming on at 6am. Maybe you can turn the radiator off to avoid being woken up early.

“Lovely hosts, quiet street, beautiful breakfast, but really needs a deep clean to be truly relaxing.”

Lovely hosts, quiet tree lined street within walking distance to town, quaint room, amazing beautiful breakfast. We’ve never stayed somewhere so dirty. Dirt, leaves, bugs all over the floors. If they hired a cleaner to clean the common areas, this would be a wonderful place
