The room was clean, modern, and well‑located. The downside was that it’s on a main road with single‑glazed windows, so it was extremely noisy in the early hours of the morning and I couldn’t get back to sleep.

The spot was great and the check‑in was a breeze, with the staff giving clear directions to parking and everything else. The only downside was that the heating was on downstairs, so the building and my room got hot; the window didn’t help during the heatwave and there were no AC units or fans. I’d suggest telling guests to bring their own cooling if they want more comfort, but aside from that, the room and building were fine.

“Lovely room and location”

The room was spotless and matched the photos exactly, with a great, spacious bathroom. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from Windermere train station, where you can hop on the open‑top bus to other spots, and the town centre with shops and food is also a short stroll away. Bowness is a quick drive from here. Parking is tricky because you can only park for an hour during the day; after 6 pm the restriction lifts, so we parked outside. The train station has parking, but if you pay for, say, two hours and then return later, you’re not allowed to keep the car.

The location is good for a brief stay. The central heating was on in June so the property was so hot and my room was on the top floor
