Waking up to six deer grazing right outside my door was an unforgettable start, and the outdoor shower felt both cool and private; the front deck offered a sunrise view over distant mountains that was simply the best. The only downside was that it felt a bit too hot during my stay, but otherwise everything was great and I’ll definitely return!

The isolation and scenery were perfect, but all the wood we had was wet, so we couldn’t make a fire. That didn’t stop us from wanting to stay again; the place was beautiful and we loved it.

The location feels secluded and the stars at night are amazing—wish I’d brought my telescope. We explored Mars Hill, Marshall, and Weaverville, all small towns within minutes, enjoying North Carolina hospitality and great art, and we could have visited Asheville for a bigger scene. There are also trails just a five‑minute drive away. The only drawback was that North Carolina was cooler than expected, but the dome’s fan helped a lot.
