I can’t sum up what we loved about the Monkey Mountain Lodge – it was the most beautiful and authentic place we stayed in Zanzibar. The room overlooking the baobab trees, with monkeys scrambling up at dawn, was the thing that stayed with us the most. The setting was pure and untouched. Every meal we enjoyed, especially breakfast, was delicious, made from high‑quality ingredients and with great attention to detail. The room was tastefully furnished with materials that fit the surroundings, offering a view of the wonderful forest. Staying in a room right in the middle of nature let us reconnect with silence, hearing only the animals around us – it felt like immersing ourselves in a forest and living in awe of the soul. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always attentive!
