The apartment looked brand‑new and was spotlessly clean; the mattresses were great and the kitchen was decent. The surroundings were beautiful, with a nice view from the terrace and a fire pit where you could light a fire in the evenings and sit. The pillows, however, were worse than bad, so I bought my own to sleep well. The fire pit didn’t work properly, and the bathroom door stuck, letting moisture seep into its insulation.

The location was gorgeous and served as a solid base for walks and day trips, and the apartment itself was fine. We missed a microwave, and a dishwasher would have been handy; the fridge had no freezer, which was a pity. One of the two beds creaked loudly.

What an incredibly beautiful house/apartment in the countryside near Schramberg; the view alone makes the trip worthwhile. It’s stocked with every convenience you can imagine, is clean and quiet, and is an ideal spot to explore the area. There were no disappointments for us, but if you have to mention something: the location is fairly far from everyday amenities like shops and restaurants (about 2 to 3 km). If you have a vehicle, that’s no problem.
