The location, staff, and cleanliness were good, but there was no hot water, only warm; the breakfast selection couldn’t be changed; there was no microwave.

The place is in a good spot, but the room had mold on the walls and near the window, and the owner and staff didn’t communicate well—on the first day the breakfast didn’t match what I ordered. It took a long time to get a reply through the booking system.

I liked the location, the quietness, and Richard’s politeness, and the room was cleaned and tidy every day. However, unlike every other place I’ve stayed in Italy and abroad, I didn’t find a bottle of water or a chocolate at arrival to signal welcome, and it would have helped to warn guests that there’s a long staircase before the elevator.

Richard was extremely helpful and kind, and the place is in an amazing location for the price, with basic cooking and eating supplies. The AC requires your key to operate, so you have to bring it with you; when it’s hot you’ll want to return to a cool room. Richard was on site and kept a key for us, which we appreciated a lot.

It was close to the Vatican and several bus stops, and I loved the host’s quick service. The breakfast was very tasty 😋, and I liked that there was a luggage‑storage service after check‑out; the place was always clean. The kettle was heavily limescale‑covered, so when I tried to use it the water always came out dirty and I couldn’t use it; the headboard of the bed looked worn, and one of the mattresses was hard 🥲🥲.
