“Could be good”

The double room I booked was comfortable and had mosquito netting on the windows. The surroundings are beautiful and safe, but there’s no asphalt nearby. Bolt drivers should stay east of the place; otherwise they’ll take the Bolt recommended route west and have a lot of trouble getting there— I waited 50 minutes. To find a restaurant you go down to the creek where people wash clothes, cross the small bridge on the right, then turn left and follow the main path until the road. Food options are limited. It’s quite isolated but friendly. The shower lacked sufficient pressure and there were many power outages. No Wi‑Fi; they use mobile, expensive, and prefer to keep the money. I also stayed in the bunk beds, which meant sharing a squatter and it was always wet, possibly with bed bugs—I scratched myself afterward. The teenage host may invite his friends, turning the place into a loud teenage party, which isn’t yours.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. We stayed for three days and were told to pay upfront, yet the promised services never materialised. The booking advertised free Wi‑Fi and complimentary breakfast, but we had no reliable internet for two days, causing major frustration. When we mentioned the problem, the owner replied, “What do you expect for $6?”—an unprofessional tone that was unacceptable, especially since the hotel failed to deliver on its advertising. The lack of basic facilities, poor communication, and dismissive behaviour made the stay extremely stressful, so I would not recommend it. On top of that, when we left early and asked for a refund for the unused day, the owner refused to return any money and kept the full payment, which was completely unfair. He also claimed that 2 GB of internet for about two hours was enough, even though that was not what was promised. His conduct was unprofessional and dismissive, and overall the place does not live up to its claims, making the stay very stressful and not worth recommending.
