The place sits just outside Papakura township and the staff were warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The private area was nice and the room itself was very comfortable and clean, giving off a relaxed family vibe. I couldn't find anything I disliked about the Motor Lodge – I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay and had no complaints.

The room was freezing cold; the AC was switched on by the staff but stopped working after 30 minutes of use, leaving me to sleep in a chill. When I mentioned the problem, the staff member blamed me for touching the controller and later claimed the unit malfunctioned because of a battery issue, which is why it never worked again.

Considering the price, the location was excellent, close to shops, and the lady who checked me in was friendly, kind, and helpful. The room had everything needed for an overnight stay, a comfortable bed, and all the essentials. There was nothing major to note; the door could be jiggled to lock but it wasn't difficult, and overall the stay was good.
