I rarely feel the urge to write a review, but Tree of Life – The Nest in Jaipur left me disappointed from the moment I checked in. The front desk asked for my Aadhaar card and then took a photo of it with a personal phone, which felt insecure and raised immediate concerns about data handling. The room looked okay at first, but it was clearly worn and in need of upkeep; finding a charging point was a chore, as I only discovered one tucked into the side of the headboard. The bathroom was lacking basic items: no hand towels, an empty basin soap dispenser, and a shower soap dispenser so dirty I hesitated to touch it. The shower itself was just a handheld unit awkwardly placed in one corner, forcing me to stand in a very specific spot to shower comfortably. Towels were visibly old and overdue for replacement. The bed was decent, yet the air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool. Breakfast was another let‑down, as the hotel doesn’t serve it on‑site and directs guests to the nearby Clarks Hotel. The pool area still had debris from a prior event, giving a clear impression of poor housekeeping. The breakfast service was among the worst I’ve encountered: every item was served on tiny quarter plates even though full‑size dinner plates were available. My omelette looked rushed, flat, cold, folded over, and unappetising, with toast served separately on another small plate. The tea service was similarly concerning.
