The accommodation is very centrally located in Bad Bertrich and offers a pleasant sauna area for a relaxing wellness day. However, the place feels quite old; the room had a slight musty smell and the bathroom wasn’t optimally clean. In the evening we waited 1:45 hours for a mixed salad, which suggests the hotel is understaffed. The staff apologized kindly and made an effort, which we definitely appreciated.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Sind auf individuelle Wünsche eingegangen. Frühstück war top. Ebenfalls der Wellnesberreich. Der angebliche Fitnessraum hatte quasi keine Fitnessgeräte. Dann lieber nicht damit werben ! Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig. Wen das nicht stört kann dort super schlafen. Ich wollte gegen 21:00 auf der Terrasse noch etwas trinken worauf der Kellner meinte „ nur ausnahmsweise „ er würde nicht mehr lange auf der Terrasse bedienen. Also habe ich mein Glas Wein selbst an der Bar geholt und mich rausgesetzt. André Gäste beschwerten sich ebenfalls darüber. Der Kellner war sehr unfreundlich. Es wurde auch kein Licht angemacht so dass die Gäste im Dunkeln auf der Terrasse saßen

I booked this place for my dad and am writing based on his account. He was clearly disappointed overall. The check‑in at 15 :00 was impossible because the room wasn’t ready; after being told twice that “check‑in from 15 :00” didn’t guarantee a finished room, he finally got in about 1.5 h later. The sauna stayed broken the whole time, forcing a choice between 45° and over 90°. Staff seemed lethargic and unhelpful, parking cost 12 €/night in a cramped garage felt overpriced, and the lunch menu offered too little variety. In short, the price‑to‑value ratio here falls short.
