Nestled in Vanoise Natural Park, La Clé des Champs sits 200 m from the main cable car amid a garden, with a terrace framing views of Dent Parrachée. Rooms include flat‑screen TVs, private bathrooms, free toiletries and hairdryers. Free ski storage, winter sports, summer biking, horse riding and rock climbing are nearby. Everything about the property is good. I am a hiker, so even though it sits on the trail I was walking, it’s a decent 20‑minute walk from all the town facilities – the owner kindly drove me in for dinner. Being the last guest of the season made arranging dinner a bit harder, but the owner was flexible and supportive, and the place is an excellent quiet spot if you’re driving, though it wasn’t the best base for a through‑hiker using bus to go up and down the valley. Thanks to the owner for meeting my special requests; top marks for her.

Everything was very good: the reception, the location (with parking), the rooms (decorated tastefully and cosy), the garden (great for a small aperitif and for the kids). Breakfast was delicious, not huge but of excellent quality. We loved it. Nothing to add.
