During the four days we stayed, breakfast arrived on time and the menu changed daily. We wished there were more outdoor activities besides the swimming pool and swings.

The breakfast was decent and I love the location. I didn't like the delay in food service, and I also think drinking water should be included in every room as part of the package.

It’s next to the port, on the shore of Lake Victoria, with a beautiful sunset. They helped us arrange a motorcycle tour around the island, and it was a great experience. The facilities need updating, and the complex is very dimly lit.

I booked a basic room and discovered it was actually a charming self‑contained cottage with a bedroom and bathroom, right by the lake where I could hear the waves from my bed. The receptionist was absolutely incredible, going above and beyond to arrange a bicycle for me and suggest other activities. The pool, bar and sauna were all excellent, staffed by polite and friendly people. The only downside was that electricity was frequently out—expected on an island powered solely by renewables, but it means you should bring a battery pack and head torch.
