Because it was the State Fair, rates were high, yet the old building was still clean. The hotel door looked like it had been beaten in at some point, and the large gap underneath let bugs crawl in.

The price was reasonable and the place stayed clean. The toilet kept running, the water took a long time to heat, and shower pressure was minimal; plus you could see daylight leaking around the closed, locked door.

They overbooked, so when we got there there was no room available—extremely disappointing.

I’ve tried to contact the hotel multiple times since August 7 when they cancelled my reservation; they say they won’t refund me. I need help with this issue. I’m owed $132.33 for a stay that was cancelled on August 7, not my fault. I’ve probably reached out 12 times already.
