Cusco de mis Sueños

For my Machu Picchu trip, I left my luggage at the hotel for two days, which was great. The room was clean but plain, the bed and pillows were tidy, hot water was always available and the pressure was good. The room was a bit cold, but the blankets were enough.

“Antiguo y desgastado”

The only highlight was the location, though the street is extremely narrow with 50 cm sidewalks. The place feels old and worn out: the bathroom door opens onto the room, walls and even the room door are dirty, there are cracks in the bathroom wall tiles with exposed water taps, it looked very neglected and unhygienic. The staff showed zero interest in making our stay comfortable, so I can’t recommend it. It might be a simple place, but at least it should feel comfortable, which it didn’t.

“Chambre très correcte”

The staff were available at all hours and very accommodating, especially when I needed to add an extra night. I could also leave my bag for several days while I planned another night in Cusco, and it was stored right in my room. The beds were comfortable, and the free hot drinks at reception were a nice touch. The only downside was the time it took to get hot water, which could be a bit long, but it eventually arrived. There were no windows facing the outside.

“God beliggenhet, god service og gode fasiliteter for pengene”

Our flight was delayed and after a long day we forgot to tell the hotel we’d be arriving late, but they still let us check in at 01:00 am, which we really appreciated.
