What a beautifully restored historic property! From the moment we arrived we felt taken care of – the owner and staff greeted us, offered lunch, and let us into our lovely room early. The bed was amazing, the bathroom was cleanly luxurious, and we enjoyed a nice view of the treed grounds. Staff were pleasant and helpful at all hours, making the stay memorable.

The property sits in a great spot, just a few blocks from Lexington’s historic area, close to food, tours, and shopping. We arrived early and asked to leave our suitcase while we grabbed lunch and walked around town; they promised to text us when the room was ready. We returned well after check‑in time and never received a text, so our suitcase stayed in the lounge with no protection. Later that evening we went to the bar before dinner. I ordered an old‑fashioned, but the bartender didn’t ask me which rye or bourbon I preferred and mixed it with lemon and lime, which tasted awful. I had him remake it, and my wife’s drink was also subpar. The bartender was not very helpful and a bit rude. On the first night the AC failed; the maintenance guy, who didn’t speak English well, initially acted like everything was fine. Only after a second complaint did they bring in a repairman, who fixed the system only marginally better. Overall the location and facilities are nice, but the staff falls short of the quality expected for an inn at this price and corporate reputation.

Breakfast was good; we could choose what we wanted and nothing was a problem. I liked everything.

The hotel was amazing, impeccably presented, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. The location was perfect—a short walk into the city and right next to walking/biking trails. It’s probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Nothing else to add except I’d love a longer stay!

The lovely buildings and grounds, the smartly (elegant but not at all stuffy!) decorated interior, the welcoming professionalism of the staff, the comfort of the room, the terrific location, and the luxurious and thoughtful 'extras' (big and small) delighted us and made us feel welcomed. The bedside lamps were functional and attractive, but we would have enjoyed two bright and focused bedside reading lights… we are nighttime readers!
