“Fabulous restful stay in a beautiful rural, yet accessible, location.”

I was amazed to discover such a fantastic spot just 30 minutes from Santander ferry port, yet tucked away in a peaceful, picturesque setting. The rural location is still close enough to the main road, and our host was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when locating a wheelchair‑accessible restaurant nearby. Breakfast was outstanding, and the house itself feels truly delightful. I couldn't find anything I didn't like.

“Un lugar encantador para relajarse”

The inn is beautiful and well decorated, set in a very nice environment. The property feels extremely welcoming and makes you feel great. Parties in a nearby village played loud music, so we didn’t sleep well the second night. Also, breakfast runs from 9:00 to 11:00, but if you arrive at 10:00 the other guests have already finished theirs, haha!

The homemade breakfast was very pleasant, and the location is excellent, featuring a lovely garden with stunning views. Inside, the room was spacious with fantastic vistas, and the furniture had a rustic yet comfortable style. There’s a beautiful, cozy library perfect for reading at sunset or before bed. The trade‑off for being perched high on a mountain with valley views is that the ascent road is narrow, steep, and has 180‑degree turns that can startle you if you encounter another car or a cow; but that’s part of the Cantabrian mountain charm.

I liked everything: the building’s beauty, the friendly welcome, the calm, the location, the views, the room, the breakfast. There was nothing I didn’t like.

We loved the owner’s kindness, the scenery, the morning tortilla…everything was great! Nothing to complain about.
