The view was stunning, and the place was quiet, a bit outside the city. It felt more like a guesthouse than a hotel. The owner is lovely and cooks wonderfully; the whole team is amazing, and we felt right at home. The curtains could block more light, but otherwise nothing major.

The owners were welcoming and kind; breakfast was very hearty and delicious on the quiet terrace. We had a short but pleasant stay. A room was available for the driver, who was also very well received—thanks! The mini‑van access was a bit tricky, but the driver handled it well, and parking was also assisted by our host.

The villa was a place to feel comfortable, with heartfelt hospitality. The Arunalo family ran a lovingly managed family business, and that warmth shows in every moment. The couple and their daughter welcomed us warmly, attentively, and kindly, making us feel almost at home from the first moment. The host’s cooking was simply fantastic—so delicious, wonderfully seasoned, and full of taste, like a mother spoiling us. The villa itself was very clean and well‑maintained. Our room had a beautiful balcony with a dreamy view over the green hills and the Kandy surroundings; we’d have liked to sit there all day just to enjoy the scenery. The restaurant also offered a wonderful view of the landscape. The location, a bit outside Kandy, was especially pleasant and comfortable, and Kandy’s sights were still easily reachable. For us, the Arunalo villa was a special place because of the family’s extraordinary warmth and the fantastic food. We felt completely at ease and would return anytime. A clear recommendation!
