The staff were great and the hotel had a nice charm, but the elevator was small and positioned so that you still had to climb about five steps with luggage once you reached your floor; it’s a minor quirk that can’t be fixed.

We liked the location even though construction was right outside the hotel, but the shower was impossible to use.

The staff were very friendly—the two young men who greeted me at night, the ladies during the day, and a very nice Swiss gentleman, plus a warm and friendly lady in the breakfast room—yet I wished the room had a kettle or coffee maker; the front‑desk lady kindly offered me a coffee instead.
