The location was excellent, just a short walk from the station, and the living area was spacious with a patio and a balcony on the second floor. The kitchen was well‑equipped and large enough for several people to cook. One staff member was very rude throughout our stay, even kicking our bags after we had checked out while we were waiting for a taxi—very odd behavior.

I loved the staff, the atmosphere, the comfortability of the hostel. The staff and their management are so friendly and hardworking that this place feels very much like a home, in my experience there was nothing flawed about it. The place is clean, the guests as well as the staff contribute toward it openly (especially the staff, thank you all). There are great amenities such as laundry and the observatory on the roof, the lounge and the terrace. I will 100% come back here, the service provided is worth my money to keep it running. Oh, and the prices are honest and what you pay for only really reflects the size of the bed you get, the staff are equally friendly to everyone! And their English is phenomenal! Everything about our stay was perfect—from the amazing location to the cozy, homely vibe. Waking up to the stunning view of Mount Fuji was a highlight. Having a rental car meant we could easily drive to the top sights and try local restaurants. When we wanted a quiet night in, the communal kitchen and dining area made cooking family meals a breeze. The kids even enjoyed sleeping together on the traditional tatami mats, which was a fun family experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

The view of Mount Fuji is fantastic, and getting there from the bus terminal is a breeze. The shared kitchen is well‑equipped, and the common area feels very welcoming. Getting to Shijunku is straightforward by bus, but reaching the airport is trickier—check the available times. From Gotemba, keep an eye on the schedules.
