Sigiri Gayani Home Stay, nestled near Sigiriya, offers garden terraces, free Wi‑Fi, and an outdoor fireplace. Family rooms feature private bathrooms, air‑conditioning, balconies, dining tables and outdoor furniture. Guests enjoy continental, vegetarian and Asian breakfasts with local specialties. On‑site parking, paid shuttle, bicycle storage and a tour desk provide convenience; the property is 6 km from Sigiriya Airport.

The owner is a really good person. He recently started running this place after leaving other hotels, and he has dreams and hope. The breakfast is cute and tasty, not too large but just right. He arranged simple tours for guests, taking us to the Dambulla Rock Temple and a safari. He also guided us to the bus stop for Candy, and we arrived there exactly in two and a half hours as he said. The room is priced appropriately; there are geckos or small insects, but it’s tidy. The shower is cold. No shampoo or conditioner, but soap is available. Google Maps can’t find the place. When you go from the main road onto a side path, if you keep going straight you’ll see a very hard-to-see sign on the right. Follow the path and you’ll reach it. There’s a dog on the side path, which is a bit scary.

Sura was a fantastic host who took us on a tour of the main sights and some off‑the‑beaten‑path spots around Sigiriya and Dambulla. He stayed attentive throughout and guided us to discover curiosities, also helping with our Sri Lanka itinerary. The accommodation is off the main street, surrounded by nature and even some wildlife, offering a very quiet setting with views of Lions Rock.
