“This was a great country place to stay near Meeker and we would stay here again!”
The location along the White River is on a good road in a quiet, not completely isolated community. I enjoyed the drive out from Meeker on a paved road and past the gravel county road that narrows significantly, spotting several herds of elk along the river. I loved the screened porch and listening to the river. The host/manager was helpful and responsive. Booking, check‑in, and check‑out were easy. The Roosevelt House is a historic structure and comes with very low lighting. We didn’t need heat, but if it had been colder I’m not sure I’d feel confident using the various scattered sources of light. A mirror could be added in the front full bath and perhaps a full‑length one somewhere.
