“Perfect sea view accommodation.”
Westcliff’s location overlooking the sea was perfect, and from the moment I stepped through the front door I felt great. Loreta was the ideal host—she handled everything with ease and was always ready to help or answer questions. The room was flawless, beautifully decorated, and the view of the waves rolling in was amazing. The location was fantastic, just a thirty‑minute scenic drive to Scafell Pike, with plenty of other places to explore. We’ll definitely come back one day 😀
“Perfect quiet stay”
It’s a lovely quiet village with a hotel overlooking the Irish Sea, and on a clear day you can see the Isle of Man. The beach is a five‑minute walk away. The room is very clean and comfortable, and the dining room has a fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, and microwave for your use, plus cereals and milk to help yourself. The hotel doesn’t provide meals, but there are local hotels and take‑aways nearby, as well as a Co‑op. No complaints—wanted a nice quiet place to stay and it fit the bill perfectly.
“Fuss free and easy”
The room was clean and the sea view lovely. The bed was comfy, and I appreciated an extra blanket (personal preference, I get cold sometimes, but the room itself wasn’t very cold). I’d definitely stay again. The bathroom was smaller, and the bedside light didn’t work—overhead lights did, so it wasn’t a big deal. The shower was fine but could have been more powerful; I understand the room was at the top of the house, so water pressure might have been a complication. These were very minor issues.
“Very nice hotel and staff”
Loretta was very friendly and the hotel feels very cozy. Free breakfast is available, and the hotel sits right next to the main road. The only negative was that it could have been a little warmer at night.
“Great views of the sea and beach, Great position by beach for walks.”
The seaview was excellent, and breakfast at Mawson’s Café was good—just a short walk away. The only downside was that the two chairs in the room were very uncomfortable for evening sitting, so I used a pillow as a backrest. They’re too vertical.
