Hotel Clarendon, built in 1870 in Old Quebec, lies two minutes from Château Frontenac, boutique shops, and restaurants. Contemporary rooms offer free Wi‑Fi, cable TV, a seating area and coffee maker. On‑site dining includes Brasserie Les Mordus’s breakfast and seafood. Adjacent to a spa, it’s three minutes to Fort Museum and near the train station, Parliament and Museum of Civilization.

Excellent location, great staff, breakfast was great, but the price is high.

The location is excellent, better than I imagined; the room was perfect, though the interior design seemed odd to me, yet it made for a perfect stay. The staff were very kind and the cost/benefit was awesome, so I’d book again and recommend it. The breakfast was horrible: eggs with no flavor, very simple, a lot of fat for my taste, poor presentation and poor cost/benefit; expecting fruit, they gave me a mini super‑mini plastic cup (like the ones used for ketchup) with a single grape and a tiny piece of watermelon split into three parts.

I was pleased to find the hotel right next to Chateau Frontenac and the parking under City Hall was a breeze, but the bathroom pocket door wouldn’t lock.
