Everything was tidy and the staff were very friendly; the hotel was quiet. The room was fairly small, but we only stayed one night so it was fine. The motion‑sensor lamp on the courtyard was a bit annoying.

The room was reliably clean and ready; as a hiker I was greeted warmly and found everything as described. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room was pleasantly set up. I was lucky with the weather during my stay (up to 25 °C). Since there was only a small radiator for heating, it could have gotten cold at night.

The hosts were lovely. Breakfast was ready and waiting for me. I told them I was vegan and they gave me a really nice breakfast with fruit, veg, and marmalade, which kept me energized for the Rheinsteig. The hotel was quiet and I slept well. When I entered the room, the toilet hadn’t been flushed or cleaned after someone else – there was visible urine and poo that disappeared after a flush. That was really disappointing. The towel heating rack seemed broken. There wasn’t a cup to drink water from, but a supermarket was nearby, so I just bought a bottle of water there.
