A solid spot for a one‑night stay, especially if you’re heading to the forest opera for a concert. The room was fine, but the price felt a bit steep for the conditions.

The woodland setting was fantastic, and the hotel offered car parking and a lift. Breakfast was good and plentiful, and the place was quiet because no events were happening. I appreciated the free access to the billiards and the clean bedding. The TV in the room was tiny and didn’t even show the news. The single bed was comfortable, but a mattress protector would have been useful since the top sheet wasn’t fitted. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful, though a bit austere; a touch more warmth would have been nice.
