The place was calm and the restaurant good. However, the hallway bulbs in the guest rooms were loose, and a cooler would have been nice.

The owner’s hospitality and the classic French food in a truly idyllic restaurant made us take our time to enjoy the meals and décor. We slept in a hotel annex just a 2‑minute walk away, so keep that in mind; there’s parking there too. Breakfast was simple but fine, also in the annex.

The hotel sits very quietly right in the town center. Dinner in the restaurant was tasty, and the overnight stay was in a second house on the parallel street, where breakfast is also served. The restaurant itself is on the other side in the evening. That house was fine and there were plenty of parking spaces. Breakfast was better than the usual simple French spread, but don’t expect a huge variety.

The location was fine overall, and the room and bathroom were in order. What we didn’t anticipate was that the rooms were not near the restaurant, so we had to drive back in again. The sleeping area was hard to find because of the mediocre street lighting. The food was below average, the host seemed tired, the reception was messy, and the restaurant’s hygiene was mediocre.
