The Shanti Plaza, a Traveler's Choice award-winning hotel, is located in New Delhi's Paharganj district. The hotel offers a terrace, free WiFi, and proximity to attractions like Jantar Mantar (2 km), Red Fort (2.8 km), and Feroz Shah Kotla Cricket Stadium (2.9 km). Rooms feature a wardrobe, flat-screen TV, private bathroom, and fridge. A continental breakfast is served daily.

Some staff members were friendly and helpful, but the first room was filthy, the toilet wouldn’t flush, and the bed sheets were disgusting. We were moved to another room and had to ask for clean sheets—there were dirty marks all over them! No hot water, stained and odorous towels, and the view from our window was a nasty back alley. We tried to check out the roof terrace, but it turned out to be a storage area with broken chairs. This hotel is not as advertised—don’t be fooled by the fake pictures!

During my stay they never changed the bed linens. The coffee maker was rotten and full of limescale, the fridge was filthy—zero hygiene—and worse, the man at the front desk kept talking loudly with his security guard, and the noise echoed into my room. No respect for guests. They charged me a tax that was supposed to be included in the total. I would not recommend this lousy hotel to anyone.

Hotel Shanti Plaza is a scam. People are being defrauded here. Don’t book; we were already scammed!

The rooms were spotless and the staff was very helpful, so I’ll definitely come back; a special thank you to the manager, Sharukh.
