The location, modern decor, and comfort were all good, but the classic room was small and quite dark.

The setting and presentation of the property were excellent, staff were friendly and efficient, the food was tasty, well presented, and served promptly, but the room and en‑suite were very small for the price, and the desk chair was unusable because of lack of space.

We’ve stayed here many times and still love it, but when we booked Sunday lunch the roast beef was gone by 2.30 while the snails were still on the menu – snails could be forgiven but the roast beef at that time was just awful.
