“INCREDIBLE”
The car was spotless, well kept, and all the gear was top‑class; the owners were thoughtful and accommodating, making the whole stay truly amazing.
Everything was fantastic; we’ll definitely use the team's services again
“The best way to experience the beauty of Maui”
The flexibility and freedom of camping fit perfectly with Maui’s beautiful countryside; it’s a great way to experience nature, and everything was well thought out and organized—nothing was lacking.
“Great option for seeing Maui”
Using the vehicle was a smart way to explore the island without the cost of hotels and car hire; the car was a bit old but still perfectly drivable.
“Can't recommend this company”
The first few days of the rental went well. The Nissan Xterra was in decent condition, although a few minor issues caused some inconvenience, but that’s not the main point. Toward the end of our stay on Maui, at an uncertain location—whether a campsite, a hiking trail, or a beach—we discovered that someone had cut the rubber fuel‑filler hose that connects the fuel‑filler neck to the gas tank. We found this on the last day, just before returning the vehicle, when we stopped at a gas station to refuel and noticed fuel leaking outside instead of into the tank. I inspected under the car and saw the hose was cleanly cut with a sharp object. Replacing it is easy and inexpensive, but we had to head to the airport, so I couldn’t fix it myself. When I returned the car to the owner’s parking lot, I told her that fuel was leaking while I was filling up, without mentioning the cut. She assured me not to worry and said they’d inspect the vehicle. A few hours later, she texted that they’d found the fuel tank itself (!) punctured. I sent her a photo that clearly showed the cut hose. She then changed her story, admitting the hose was the problem, which felt suspicious and misleading. She promised to ask a mechanic friend for an estimate and said the repair shouldn’t be expensive.
