The place sits close to the beach but there’s no direct access, and the road right next to it makes it noisy. The beds are simple, yet the room was tidy and had the basic amenities. The noise from the road is a real issue; even with earplugs I couldn’t sleep because the road is so near, cars and scooters zoom by and you hear everything through the single‑glazed windows. The building feels old and not well insulated, and the air conditioning is very loud. We ended up leaving and finding another spot, even though the booking was non‑refundable, because we couldn’t get any rest.

The staff were helpful; everyone at reception offered assistance and conveniences. For me, the location is the best in San Juan – no beach in front but just a minute’s walk away. There’s air conditioning and a fan, breakfast and meals are provided, and they let you rent motorcycles and helped arrange a tuk‑tuk back to the port. Walking to bars and restaurants is easy, and a supermarket is nearby. No negatives.

“Sympathique guesthouse !”

The room was clean, the equipment comfortable, and the terrace was friendly. Renting a scooter at the hotel was very convenient! The only downside is that it’s very close to the main road, so it’s noisy.

We loved staying at Hanna’s place. We planned a 4‑night stay but extended to 8! The location was great, close to restaurants and a short walk to the beach across the street. There’s a gym within walking distance too. We rented a motorbike through them and they were very helpful. The AC is a bit loud and the road is also a bit noisy for those who are more sensitive, but that’s common in the Philippines 🤭
