The shower and tea‑making facilities are solid, the bed is comfortable and the linens are clean, though the towels lost some fluffiness. The room is tidied daily and the soap, shower hat and toiletries are good. Air‑conditioning works well and the traditional window is nice. However, the carpets and flooring are worn and dirty, the decor feels dark and off‑putting, and the window opens wide without a safety latch. When I asked for extra milk for tea, I received very little, and the lift sounded like it needed servicing. The staff are not very engaging.

The location is great, but the room’s air‑conditioning can only be controlled from reception, so I had to strip down to my pyjamas on the first night to turn it on. Later, because the internal phone was broken, I had to call the front desk from my mobile every time I wanted to switch it on or off, which was very inconvenient. The hairdryer was also broken and never replaced during my stay, despite being reported. Basic services like this deserve much better attention.

Breakfast was great, the room was clean and comfy, and there were snacks available all day! The reception was adorable. Be careful of strong cleaning product smells in the room if you have allergies.

The location, staff and room were excellent, and we upgraded to a spacious room. Breakfast is a good option if you’re looking to start early. The downside is that, as expected in Paris, you pay a lot for what you get. The bed was a bit short for a 6‑foot‑4 person, but that’s not unusual.

The hotel is friendly and well‑situated, but the breakfast is basic and the carpet in the room is in poor condition.
