The hotel sits beautifully on terraces above Lake Atitlán, with a breathtaking view; it feels very family‑run, staff are always attentive and caring, and the restaurant food isn’t huge in variety but is always freshly prepared and tasty. The speaker carts that drive along the riverside early in the morning and the neighbor dogs are annoying, but the hotel can’t do anything about that.

The lake views were spectacular, the restaurant was very pretty, and the rooms were spacious. The bed made a bit of noise, and the bathroom had a small window that faced another house where they did laundry, so you could see them when you entered.

The location was great. We were not provided with bath soap, hand soap, or toilet paper.
