“Great place to stay in Lamai with friendly staff. Great location”
The staff were loved—so friendly, and that’s what makes or breaks a place for me. When we first arrived I had hurt my ankle and was finding stairs hard, so the lady moved us down a floor. I ended up in 203 the first time we stayed, and then came back and stayed for two nights 10 days later. I loved my room 203 because there was a little bit of foliage to the side of the balcony so I could watch the nook birds but not too much, as I tend to avoid too much since mosquitoes love to bite me. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shower was great. Tea, coffee, and water were provided. The location was second to none for Lamai, as you can walk everywhere from the hotel and it’s very safe. There is no view from this hotel, though, as you are looking at the hotel across and they seemed to be doing a bit of building work, but that didn’t bother me as I liked to people watch. All in all I would definitely stay there again, but I would request the first room 203. I didn’t like the balcony in room 204; everything was blocked by trees, so it was very dark. It also gave me a bit of an issue with the mosquitoes. Maybe cut the trees back a bit just for light, but I wouldn’t fault anything else.
