“Casa caratteristica ma sonno impossibile”
An old house in the center of a small village. It’s large enough for at least four people (we only used one room for two). The owner was very courteous and helped us whenever possible. However, you can’t drive to the house; you have to carry your luggage by hand (the owner offered her car to help, but you still need to park far away). The house hasn’t been renovated and feels “old” with furnishings and windows from the era it was furnished. The only exception is the entrance bathroom, which was unusable due to a plumbing issue. There’s no air conditioning, so we didn’t sleep any night because of the suffocating heat; we couldn’t even open the window because the mosquito net was partially broken and the screen was lifted on one side. The first‑floor bathroom is tiny and dated—someone who is a bit stout or tall would have trouble using it. All that said, the nightly price is outrageous.
