The spot is spot‑on – right in the middle of everything you’d want to be near. Unfortunately the room itself is a nightmare: the bed feels like a hard slab, the springs poke right through your back and you wake up with numb arms. The whole place smells like someone’s been smoking nonstop, the Wi‑Fi flickers on for an hour or two at best, and none of the staff speak any English.

The hotel is right next to Modiesha metro station – just a 300 m walk and only one stop to the Canton Fair, which makes getting around a breeze. The only real problem is the overwhelming cigarette odor that hangs around the lobby and seeps into the rooms.

It was an okay place – nothing spectacular, but nothing outright awful either. The basics were covered, yet there wasn’t anything that really stood out as a highlight.

The room was tiny, windowless, and drenched in cigarette smell, so I ended up asking for a change and got a similarly simple space. Breakfast was decent in taste, but the presentation was sloppy and unappealing. All in all, the lingering smoke and lackluster breakfast would have me rate this as a two‑star property back home in Brazil.

The price is low and the hotel sits close to the exhibition centre, with a helpful shuttle that even brings water. Breakfast is passable, but if you don’t have a Chinese SIM you can’t get on the Wi‑Fi, and the front‑desk staff could be friendlier.
